To bring 'food' to the bodies and souls of our homeless brothers and sisters in St. Paul

The People We Serve
From 1991 to 2000 the MN homeless population doubled
40% are children; 36% of men are Veterans; 53% are mentally ill
59% are homeless for the first time in their life
Workplace injury and job loss are common reasons for first time homelessness

A Brief History
June 2002 - Idea was born
July 2002 - Truck purchased at a junkyard
September 2004 - Truck rebuild complete
October 2004 - Truck licensed, serves its first meal (24th), and continues 4 times per week
September 2007 - Truck enhancements
February 2008 - Change to all volunteer work force and reduce to 3 times per week
April 2008 - Prep area moved to St. Paul Evangelistic Association warehouse
April 2008 - 150,000 lunches served
June 2008 - 4th church added
October 2008 - Part of I Can Help Twin Cities, www.icanhelptwincities.com
January 2009 - 5th church added

2009 Ministry Objectives
Add a monthly worship service for homeless
Add prayer ministry
Add NSF sink and table to warehouse preparation area
Replace 4 well propane burner with 5 well burner
Achieve 95% schedule attainment of the 204 planned serving days
Increase planned serving days to 260 (5 churches serving each week)
Utilize Youthworks for summer serving on Wednesdays
Hold two planning sessions with church partners
