JESUS Delivers Food Ministry
Stories

When asked to name the biggest difference between the actual mission experience and expectations leading up to the trip, nearly all volunteers stated that it was the attitude, the graciousness, and the politeness of the homeless community.

Additionally, many servers described acts of compassion and care shown through people who were bringing food and/or clothes back to those who were ill, shut in, watching the "campsite", or otherwise unable to move around.

Still others described the "amazing" faith still present in people even outdoors at 15 degrees as evidenced by requests for Bibles, sharing of faith stories, and asking for directions to church so that they could attend worship.

Lastly, many volunteers have also described the raw degree of poverty that exists just 25 minutes from Stillwater; during our coldest trip this fall less than 20% of the folks had gloves to wear.
